Last Day in Rome and the Long Train Ride

On our last day in Rome we tried to fit in everything that we had missed up to this point in time. We walked from our B&B to the train station and lined up for a half hour to deposit our bags at left luggage (24 Euro). Then we continued walking and walking and walking....Rome had to be in the 80s yesterday.
We got down to the entrance to the forum, colosseum, etc. and stood around for another half hour. Then we started our "tour"....the Rick Steves tour as presented by Mary. It was pretty good and you didn't have to wear earbuds and follow some woman with an umbrella. It was an interesting time and then we walked over and toured the colosseum, very impressive. We then walked up to the Capoline Hill but passed over the museum, (by this time we were getting a little tired of the museum thing) but did sit down with a pizza, a couple of beer and a panoramic view of Rome (picture of Mary looking out over the city).
We started back for the train station and found a little church on the way back that housed the last sculpture by Michelangelo....that's the statue of Moses I've included in the pictures. We managed to get lost again when we continued our route to the train station but got back well before our train departed.
The train trip was 13 hours long, we had a group of very noisy women out in the hall, and the bunks are very cramped. I kept waking up in the night feeling like I was on a roller coaster. We kind of thinking that overnight trains aren't necessarily the best way to go.
